COVID-19 Information*

We have modified our party itineraries to adhere with the current restrictions. We will only be doing makeup and dressup for the children upon request. Our staff perform a self-screening before each of their parties to ensure that they have not been recently sick or have been in contact with anyone who has COVID-19 or any other contagious illness.

CURRENT STATUS: There are currently no restrictions. Parties may be indoors or outdoors with no restrictions on the guest count.

Our characters will not be wearing masks as it highly diminishes the character experience by having their faces covered. It is up to the host or hostess to arrange whether they want their guests wearing masks or not.

By booking with us, you:

  • Agree to have an adult present for the duration of the party.

  • Acknowledge that there is some risk in the spead of COVID-19 at the party, but agree to not hold Fairytale Princess Parties liable for any sickness that may result after the visit. We do, of course, only send performers to parties who are in good health and have not knowingly been in contact with anyone who has been recently sick.

  • Will ensure that none of the guests have experienced any symptom of illness such as cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills, headache, sore throat, or new loss of taste or smell.

  • Will ensure that none of the guests believe they have been exposed to someone with a suspected and/or confirmed case of the COVID-19.

Weather

Parties planned to occur outside must have an indoor backup in case of bad weather. Bad weather includes temperatures that are too hot or cold, high winds, rain, or hail. The exact temperature tolerance of the characters will depend on the costume worn, humidity, and wind chill. If the weather is not suited for an outdoor visit, we will be in touch to ensure that an indoor location is available, or if not, offer to reschedule the party. Please note that mascot characters have a lower heat tolerance and cannot be outside on hot summer days.

Payment

Please email or call us before booking a party to confirm that your date and time is available. To book a party, we require a non-refundable deposit of $100+tax. This can be paid through our online checkout via credit card or PayPal, as an etransfer, or in cash. Please contact us for etransfer or cash payment details. Please see the BOOK tab to pay your deposit. You may also choose to pay the full balance at this time.

The remaining balance is due 24 hours before your party. You can pay your remaining balance through our online checkout with your credit card, PayPal, as an e-transfer, or in cash. Please note that if we do not receive the remaining payment before your party, our character cannot come, so make sure to pay in advance to have a carefree day of the party!

Keep in mind that your party is NOT booked until your deposit is paid. Please pay as soon as possible to avoid losing your preferred date and time! We hold your spot for 48 hours after we have confirmed availability: after that, the time and date will be open to others to book.

Cancellations

If you have to cancel your party for unforeseen reasons, you must let us know at least 48 hours in advance. Everything except your $100+tax deposit will be refunded to you. The deposit is transferable and can be used to reschedule your party for another date.

If in the very rare occasion we need to cancel the party due to performer illnesses, family emergencies, dangerous weather conditions, etc., your entire payment along with your deposit will be returned to you unless you would like to transfer it to a future party. We will, however, do our utmost to ensure that our performer arrives to your party on time and ready to make some magic!

For corporate bookings, we require a 48 hour cancellation notice and do not offer refunds. If we receive notice of cancellation with more than 48 hours notice, the event payment can be transferred to a future event within one year of the scheduled event.

Behavioural Problems

The host/hostess is responsible for any behavioural problems during a party. Our character will not assume responsibility for providing significant disciplinary action during a party, and therefore, in order to deliver a magical experience for your birthday child, an adult must be present during a party to observe any behaviour that may become distracting. It is your responsibility to maintain peace in the kingdom!

Performer Requests

We do not take requests to have or not have certain performers at your party/event. All of our performers are highly trained and sure to make a magical and memorable party for your little ones!

Costume Requests

Some of our characters (The Snow Queen, the Winter Princess, and the Little Mermaid) have more than one outfit. Unless you request it, the choice of outfit will be up to our discretion depending on availability and suitability for the performer. If you have a preference for the outfit choice, please let us know at the time of booking.

Food and Beverage Policy

We advise that all food and beverages be saved until after the character leaves. Sticky fingers and colourful beverages have the potential to stain and damage costumes. If damage should occur due to food and beverage during the party, it is the responsibility of the birthday child's parents to pay to have the costume cleaned.

Smoking

We do not allow smoking or the use of drugs in the vicinity of our performers. Parties cannot be held in a room that smells of smoke. If an alternative room is not available, the character will have to leave the party without refund.
